Welcome to Episode #1…this is the introduction episode to my new podcast…The Pursuit of Online Entrepreneurship!
Consider this to be a ‘behind the scenes’ of what went into this passion project of mine.

Why I wanted to start a Podcast and where the name come from
Who I created the show for
What is the show about and what type of content you can expect and oh yes,
I probably should tell you a little bit about the host of this show…ME.

WHY I WANTED TO START A PODCAST
Basically, I’ve learned a lot about being an Online Entrepreneur. I who wanted to expand my consulting practice to the online space but I had ZERO presence online. I want to share those lessons with you and help YOU Pursue your Dream of having a successful Online business.
And so, I took the plunge last summer and made a commitment to launch my Podcast by taking the first step of enrolling in Pat Flynn’s Power Up Podcasting course. A YEAR LATER, HERE WE ARE.
Look, Here’s what I know…This is a new venture for me, I believe I have something to say, to share and to teach…I know I won’t be perfect but I trust that I’ll figure it out as I go.”
WHERE DID THE NAME COME FROM
Don’t even get me started on how long it took me to pick a name for my podcast.
I actually thought of calling it the How-To Podcast because all the titles I’ve brainstormed always started with How-To. Ultimately, when I got clear on my message, my mission and who I wanted to help, the name evolved into The Pursuit of Online Entrepreneurship.
WHO IS THIS PODCAST FOR AND WHAT IS IT ABOUT
If you’re an entrepreneur, you will have so many different stages as you start your business, grow it, pivot, scale it beyond your dreams and as Denise Dunfield says, NEW LEVEL, NEW DEVIL!.
At least that’s how it’s been for me and many Entrepreneurs I’ve had the honor of helping and pleasure of meeting along my own journey.
This podcast will be about the journey of building or expanding your business to the online space. Here, we’ll talk about the fact we’re never done with this journey. Once we reach one level, or milestone, we are immediately preparing and striving for the next level, the next phase. Each phase we’ll need to acquire and master skills, tools, mindset, etc.
I wanted to create a show to inspire, motivate, encourage and help YOU, navigate what could feel like the muddy waters of Online Entrepreneurship, while also teaching you some step by step tactical techniques and strategies, to set you up to get results, and build a successful sustainable business online.
Becoming an online entrepreneur is more than just a career: it’s a life journey, and you can get to your destination with the right attitude, mindset, motivation and foundational how-to skills!
My goal for The Pursuit of Online Entrepreneurship Podcast is to help you find your way and get motivated to take inspired action, and empower yourself while I show you and share with you some shortcuts.
Initially, this will be a SOLO show, Each episode is designed to enlighten you to step forward towards achieving your vision, with actionable takeaways, advice, and resources, by referencing my own experience and that of my clients.
A BIT ABOUT ME, THE CREATOR & HOST
Ok, this next part will be the awkward part of the show for me, as I need to share a little bit about myself with you. I’m a business coach & strategist, course creator, and now proud to say, podcaster. I’m also a big sister, best friend and dog lover. Prior to joining the Online World, I had a very successful career as an Accounting and Finance executive in the Silicon Valley and San Francisco (yup, the corner office in SF Union Square)
In late 2010, I was craving flexibility, creative freedom and building something of my own, so I launched my own consulting practice (a client-facing, offline, brick & mortar type of practice offering CFO & business consulting services to Start Up clients..I was in the right place for that type of service since I live in Silicon Valley territory.). I grew it to a multiple six figure business very quickly; however, in the process, I also built a highly STRESSFUL business I didn’t entirely LOVE.]
All my clients (whom I cared about and respected), had similar deadlines which resulted in sleepless nights, working weekends and missed holidays. My clients acted more like individual bosses instead of clients. I felt like I had to SAY YES to everything for fear of losing a client or not having a stellar reputation. This was not the business I set out to build or wanted.
Enter Complete Burnout
I knew that I needed to change my business model and leverage my time and experience by expanding my business to the online world. (I needed to have an ONLINE PRESENCE)
I knew that online I could reach more people, have a larger impact, and scale my business while working less. However, at that time, I didn’t know what I didn’t know and so my own Pursuit into Online Entrepreneurship began back in late 2015 when I didn’t even have a FB Account.
I was so naive to think that I’d be able to achieve the same level of success I had achieved in Corporate as well as my business consulting practice when I arrived in the Online world…I say world because that’s what it felt like, a totally different world where everyone spoke a different language.
I quickly learned that just because I knew how to scale businesses, I didn’t necessarily know what it took to launch, run and grow a business online. I had a lot to learn, mistakes to make and successes to accomplish…it’s been quite the journey but I’m just getting started.
3 years later, I have been successfully scaling my Online Business, Growing my community through various platforms and I’ve become a super fan of social media,
I’m in this journey with you, we’re all at different stages, but also have one thing in common..we want to have a successful business while also building a life of purpose where we make a difference.

This platform is new for me, even though I’ve been listening to podcasts for years, it’s a whole other thing to sit in front of a microphone, press record and GO.
Imperfect action is always better than waiting until it’s perfect and never starting at all.
So here we are, the beginning of what I believe will be an incredible journey and adventure.
